Originally from Southern California. At the age of 19, I decided to take 6 months off college and bought a one-way ticket to Kona. I don't know what I was thinking because what 20-year-old would want to leave paradise, not me, so 38 years later I'm still a Kona girl. At the age of 28 I met my beautiful husband Puaita, who was a transplant from the north shore of Oahu, married 3 years late rand raised 2 amazing sons here in Kona. Besides working in restaurants in my early 20's, I have spent my professional life, from the age of 25, working as Administrative Assistants and Office Managers for various businesses. Working at Kona Smile Co is my first venture into the medical / dental field, and I could not be working with a better group of people and that includes our patients!

Kristina was raised on the east side of the Big Island and graduated from Kea’au High school “GO COUGARS”! She eventually made her way to the sunnier side of the island, Kailua Kona, where she started her dental career. Kristina has been in the dental industry for about fourteen years, and has been one of Dr. Dunn’s “left hand girls” for eleven ah-mazing years and still counting. Kristina enjoy’s cooking “mind your own biscuits and life will be gravy”. She is also a huge Kobe Bryant fan, mamba mentality 4 life! Kristina got into the dental industry because she was intrigued by the human mouth and teeth. She eventually realized the best reward was helping the community ONE SMILE at a time.
